Your journey begins in Lagos (or at your accommodation, depending on the location) and winds you through the picturesque villages and beaches of the Algarve.

We head for the west coast … and then it gets adventurous! Turning off onto sand and gravel roads with hardly any traffic we lead you through the freedom of unspoiled forests. This is where our UMM gets to show what it was built for. The army vehicle from the 80s guides us safely over the bumpy track and masters driving through water and over dusty roads.

The empty track in front of us, a big cloud of dust behind us, a beer in our hands and music in our ears. What could be better?

But something awaits you … because it’s off to the cliffs! We drive along a spectacular stretch of coastline with a view of the ocean. Incredible expanse… and after that, there’s only America. Here there are great waves, rocks with teeth but countryside with a smile.

Best buddy for the boys and eye candy for the ladies: Marlon, the complete package with charm and humour. Marlon is co-owner of Algarve Beer Tours, a car enthusiast, beer lover, our tour guide, DJ, bartender and onboard entertainer. He not only knows the area and lots of interesting facts about Portugal, but also entertains in his unique and authentic way. He loves meeting new people and organises the tours with great conviction. It never gets boring with him! Quote from a customer: “You can't describe him in words, you have to experience him.”

Anny

Anny is pure joie de vivre, she beams and laughs all day long with a friendly word for everyone. She will make you all feel welcome and in addition makes sure that Marlon doesn't get up to mischief all the time. She drives us to our HOTSPOTS in a relaxed and safe manner and is the real boss of our company. With the right group on board and a bit of banter, she also lets her hair down off-road. It's over gravel tracks, through forests and water holes so hold on tight! When Anny gets going, there's no stopping her. The fun factor is guaranteed.

Alter

Anyone who likes cars will love it! He really is one of a kind. Yes, his name really is Alter (Boddy) and he’s the best mate you could wish for. It was built in the 80s for the Portuguese army, has an incredible 76 hp, a 4-speed gearbox and a 2.5 litre Peugeot diesel engine. It also has 8 seats and is bright orange in colour. The optional extras include a cool box and a music system that makes the car vibrate.
